The Swiss tropical-timber company Precious Woods will close its Dutch sales subsidiary in Nieuwerbrug during the course of the next few months and thereby also terminate the activities ofPrecious Woods Europe BV. The sell-off of timber stored in Nieuwerbrug has already started. Precious Woods is reacting with this measure to the continuing difficult economic situation in Europe and in particular in the Benelux countries. Nieuwerbrug had primarily served clients in Belgium, the Netherlands, Great Britain and Germany.
