Wang Tiankai, president of China Textile and Apparel Council (CNTAC), has been unanimously elected by the Committee of Management of the International Textile Manufacturers Federation (ITMF) as its new president for the next two years.
During the ITMF 2014 Annual Conference in Beijing on October 17, the Committee of Management also elected Mr. Jaswinder Bedi (Kenya) as vice president and reconfirmed Mr. Peter Gnägi (Switzerland) as ITMF treasurer.
Furthermore, Mr. Josué C. Gomez da Silva (Brazil) was appointed Honorary Life Member of ITMF in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the Federation during his six years of service as ITMF vice president (2008-2012) and ITMF president (2012-2014).
ITMF is an international forum for the world’s textile industries, dedicated to keeping the worldwide membership constantly informed through surveys, studies and publications, participating in the evolution of the industry’s value chain and through the organization of annual conferences as well as publishing considered opinions on future trends and international developments.
