The Ex-Work Price of HR Coil in US Has Dropped

The United States market presents dull that the ex-work price of hot rolled coil in US has dropped by US$10/short ton to about US$610~630/short ton due to slow demand. 

On the other hand, the ex-work price of A36 medium heavy plate has also declined by US$20/short ton to around US$690~710/short ton, with the scrap prices down by US$15~20/short ton in February. 

However, SSAB Americas and Nucor Corporation has hiked their prices by US$30/short ton, attempting to stifle the prices to further decline. Other mills are expected to adjust their prices up accordingly in March.
