Demand is only gradually getting into gear in northern and eastern Germany at the end of the first quarter. So far no sweeping uplift has occurred in business activity. According to producers, carpentry and timber construction businesses are still ordering hesitantly at the end of March; Major additions to stocks are still being avoided wherever possible. However, there are increasing signs of enquiries for major volumes arising again during the course of the next two to three weeks. Source:euwid-wood-products.com
