US-based plastic packaging manufacturer VisiPak has announced the addition of two new lines of injection molded plugs for tube containers.
The company launched the new lines produced with crystal clear PETG in response to customer demand.
VisiPak sales and marketing director Jeff Barket said the addition of the clear plugs to the company's existing tubing lines provides the solution for customer inquiries for a clear packaging solution.
"The continued customer interest, particularly in the retail packaging industry, resulted in the decision to invest in the tooling, and to begin production in the USA," Barket added.
Based upon the traditional poly plug, the PETG plug line differentiates itself from the opaque line of round and hex shaped plugs made of HDPE material primarily.
According to the company, a unique feature of the PETG material is that it can be secured by adhesives.
The entire package is recyclable under resin identification code of 1, when either of the new lines is used in combination with the company's PETG tube packaging containers.
