It is learned that Brazilian steelmaker of long product Gerdau is aiming the second half of this year to launch its flat products.
According to the company’s Finance Executive Mr. Andre Pires, the company’s hot rolled roller will start the operation in this August. This operation was set to begin in this June.
However, Pires expressed that the delay is due to the mill is still in testing phase so have to wait till August.
As for the demand, Pires said that his company has been keeping in touch with clients.
The company is able to produce 800,000 tons of flat products per year.
