Crown Aerosols and Speciality Packaging Europe, a subsidiary of Crown, has launched new Easylid closures to simplify packaging for domestic paint manufacturers.
The new 'Easylid' closure technology, which was unveiled in Finland, is claimed to make opening and reclosing of paint cans easier.
Easylid features a metal plate with a plastic outer ring, which ensures tight seal during closure, and prevents usage of any kind of apparatus to open it.
Crown Aerosols and Speciality Packaging European marketing manager Véronique Curulla said consumers look for added value and convenience from the products they purchase and brands always turn to new packaging formats as a means of meeting their expectations.
"As we introduce the Easylid closure across Europe, paint consumers will be able to join the convenience revolution and discover the value of easy-to-open packaging," Curulla added.
Developed in collaboration with Finnish paint company Tikkurila, the Easylid closure uses metal and plastic materials that are easy to recycle and can be used for water-based paints.
