Flexoplast Has Developed a New Laminated Film Packaging Solution

Flexible packaging materials producer Flexoplast has developed a new laminated film packaging solution for Lustucru’s 'Frites Fraiche' French fries product range. Lustucru is part of the Panzani Group.

The triple laminated film package comprises a 20 micron matt BOPP material which is reverse printed and laminated to 15 BOPA / 60 COEX LDPE and printed in full HD Flexo in eight colors.

Flexoplast key account manager Peter Hoogendam said Lustucru was on look out for a robust packaging solution that conveyed quality and also sealed in the freshness of its product.

"The laminated film we created was the ideal packaging material for this and by using a triple laminate we were able to create a package that had a sturdy exterior but a paper look and feel, and preserved the product freshness effectively," Hoogendam added.

Flexoplast, part of Clondalkin Group's Flexible Packaging Division, has invested in a eight-color Comexi F2 printing press recently to expand its service capability in its specialist markets.
