On Wednesday, the Canadian International Trade Tribunal (CITT) initiated an expiry review of its order made on January 8, 2009 concerning the dumping of hot-rolled carbon steel plate and high-strength low-alloy steel plate from the Republic of Bulgaria, the Czech Republic and Romania.
On August 22, 2013, the Canada Border Services Agency will determine if there is a likelihood of resumed or continued dumping. In the event of a positive determination, the CITT will determine, on January 7, 2014, whether the continued or resumed dumping is likely to result in injury or retardation.
