In April this year, Chinese steel producer Tangshan Iron and Steel Co. received orders for over 20,000 mt of welding wire, double the volume of orders in the same month of 2012, as announced by Tangshan Steel's parent company Hebei Iron and Steel Group.
Additionally, so far in the current year Hebei-based Handan Iron and Steel Co., another subsidiary of Hebei Steel Group, has received orders for 81,139 mt of steel sheet for application in the home appliance industry, up 12 percent year on year, with 50 percent of orders for the domestic market and 50 percent for the overseas market.
