Big Rock Brewery, a Canada-based beer maker, is set to introduce its new Saaz Republic Pilz lager, the first of three upcoming new releases in Ontario this week.
Created by the brewery's brewmaster Paul Gautreau, Saaz Republic Pilz has a distinct but mild bitterness on the front end followed by a slight hop middle and a clean, refreshing finish. It has a white head atop a golden yellow body.
Paul said that he believe that in a craft segment dominated by ales, there is a place for a true European style Pilsner.
"SAAZ Republic Pilz is a light lager generously spiced with Czech hops which fills that niche," Paul added.
Besides this, the brewery has also named Craft Brand as its new agency and branding partner in Ontario.
Big Rock Brewery offers all-natural craft beers including ten ales and lagers, Rock Creek dry cider.
