MOC Announced That The Average Finished Steel Price in China Declined by 0.3 Percent

China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC) has announced that during the week ending September 29 the average finished steel price in China declined by 0.3 percent week on week.

In particular, in the given week average prices of 12 mm rebar, 80 mm x 43 mm x 5 mm channel steel and 6.5 mm high-speed wire rod in China decreased by 0.6 percent, 0.5 percent and 0.4 percent week on week, respectively.

In the week ending September 29, average prices of minerals in China were down 0.1 percent compared to the previous week. In particular, the average prices of tungsten ore, lead ore and copper ore were down three percent, 0.4 percent and 0.2 percent week on week, respectively. Meanwhile, the average prices of iron ore and antimony ore remained stable, but the average price of zinc ore saw a 0.5 percent increase week on week.

In the given week, average prices of energy in China were down 0.5 percent week on week. The average prices of crude oil and raw coal were down by two percent and 0.6 percent respectively, while the average price of metallurgical coke was unchanged, week on week.
