German sports car manufacturer Porsche has unveiled the new Cayenne S Diesel sports utility vehicle (SUV) for the German market prior to its debut at the upcoming 2012 Paris Motor Show to be held in France this month.
The new SUV, which will feature an auto start/stop function, will be powered by a 4.2litre eight-cylinder V8 diesel engine with bi-turbo charging that will generate an output of 382hp and a maximum torque of 850Nm.
The Cayenne S Diesel model's Porsche Traction Management (PTM) active all-wheel drive feature will generate the driving features offered by a rear-wheel drive vehicle, while its optional Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus (PTV Plus) will enhance the driving performance.
According to the carmaker, the new SUV will sprint from zero to 100km in 5.7 seconds and will offer a top speed of 252 km/h.
Porsche is planning to launch the Cayenne S Diesel in Germany in January 2013.
