Kyowa Hakko Kirin Received The Japanese Approval for NESP Injection 5ug Plastic Syringe

Kyowa Hakko Kirin, a pharmaceutical company, has received the Japanese approval for manufacturing and marketing the NESP injection 5μg plastic syringe as an additional formulation in Japan.

NESP is a long-acting erythropoiesis stimulating agent used for treating anemia in adult chronic kidney disease patients on / not on dialysis and it was initially approved in July 2007.

With the recent approval as an additional formulation in Japan, the company can now use the NESP in renal anemia in both pediatric and adult patients with chronic kidney disease.

This approval for NESP Injection 5μg plastic syringe enables the expansion of NESP line-up and allows the company to contribute to various requirements of the patients suffering from anemia of chronic kidney disease.

Kyowa Hakko Kirin is focusing on kidney area as well as three other areas under its category-based strategy to achieve sustained growth.
