"It’s humbling to look at the line-up this season knowing we get to celebrate fall fashions at events across the east coast and with women who are using fashion as a way to color their world and support causes important to them," said Gayatrai Khosla, who co-founded the Yatra Collection with long-time friend, Rati Bahadur.

The Yatra Collection is a private designer label based out of New York, NY and Yorktown, Va. Yatra Collection unveils several new collections each year, all of which are handcrafted by artisans in India.

"Nearly every event we are taking part in this season embodies our drive to promote fashion with a social mission," Khosla added. "The events where you’ll find Yatra this season are also fundraisers for education, child welfare, cancer research and more."

"It was a thrill to see Yatra Collection on the runways of these elite fashion weeks," said Bahadur. "But more than that, it was humbling for us to be part of such high profile events raising money for causes that touch so many of the women who wear Yatra."

A portion of the Martha’s Vineyard Fashion Week proceeds supported Angel Flight North East, which transports patients and families to hospitals nationwide.

Chattanooga Fashion Week, a growing hot spot for the latest trends in fashion and up and coming designers, brought broader awareness and funds to Autism Speaks.

VA Fashion Week in Williamsburg and Virginia Beach, Va. helped raise money to support awareness of and research into breast cancer through The Bra-ha-ha.
