Spinal device company K2M has added a new biologics offering to its VESUVIUS Osteobiologic Systems product portfolio.
Featuring VESUVIUS Demineralized Fibers and VESUVIUS Demineralized Sponge, the new VESUVIUS DBM Putty includes a proprietary bone-fiber technology and a glycerol carrier to provide an enlarged surface area to facilitate attachment, migration, and distribution of cells within the graft material.
The product, which is processed by LifeNet Health, is treated with a patented ALLOWASH XG sterilization process and PAD demineralization technology that protect Bone Morphogenic Proteins (BMPs), while ensuring optimal osteoinductive potential.
K2M medical director and tissue products and orthopedic surgeon Paul Savas said the company's launch of a new biologics offering is an important expansion of its biologics portfolio.
