South Africa-based First Impression has purchased a ROTOCONTROL RSC 440mm web width slitting/rewinding machine from ROTOCONTROL in Germany.
According to ROTOCONTROL, its new RSC series offers a full suite of features including cartridge slitting system, vertical inspection zone, automatic tension control, S-Drive servo driven operation, job save, and simple, functional controls in an economical machine designed to increase operator efficiency.
First Impression operations director Vaughan Cumming said the slitter/rewinder machine has been designed with a new servo drive system.
"The installation was uncomplicated and after only one day of training our operator could run the machine independently," Cumming added.
First Impression is engaged in flexographic printing for the shrink-sleeve, wraparound, roll fed and self-adhesive label market and produces labels for brands in industries including toiletries, cosmetics, chemical and detergents, pharmaceutical, home and personal care, food, beverage and motor oils.
