Packaging machinery manufacturer Standard-Knapp has launched a new continuous motion multi-packer Tritium Multipacker, which can handle applications in the food, beverage and personal care industries.
The Tritium Multipacker has single, double and three lane configurations and arranges products into compact pack patterns and wraps the configurations in film thus eliminating the need for trays and pads.
According to the company, the multi-packer sends the packs through a heat tunnel to shrink the film around each multi-pack tightly producing a wrinkle-free bottom seal.
Constructed with stainless steel, the new Tritium Multipacker features a lower carbon footprint and has energy-efficient heat tunnel as well as a reduced amount of overall packaging material used.
Standard-Knapp's multipacker is flexible and adaptable, and comes equipped with easy-access 'gull wing' safety-interlock guard doors, which provide a clear view of all moving belts and chains.
The Robo-Wand wrapping section and precise servo-driven film cutting system of Tritium Multipacker allow for wide product range capabilities and increased speed.
The multi-packer is available with the company's operator interface that uses color touch-screen technology, as well as the Zero-Gap II Infeed that employs electronic sensors to monitor and control product movement.
