Taiwanese Domestic Stockiest Planned to Hike Prices of CRC by NT$300/Ton

It's reported that the Taiwanese domestic stockiest planned to hike prices of cold rolled coils (CRC) by NT$300/ton due to shortage. It's learned that Chung Hung Steel announced to delay its CRC shipments for the Taiwanese domestic market and China Steel Corp. stopped to release CRC leeway for December. The new confirmed deals in Taiwan domestic market are at around NT$21,300/ton (US$734/ton). Meanwhile, it's said that the imported CRC prices are about NT$500~NT$ 800/ton (about US$17/ton~US$28/ton) lower than the current domestic market price level. Therefore, the market participants worried about that the low-priced CRC imports might cause CRC price unable to rise further in local market.
