International supplier of recycled packaging for consumer goods DS Smith Recycling has announced investment in a new shared service center at Caerphilly Business Park in the UK to centralize its IT, HR and finance operations.
According to the company, the investment, which will also safeguard 22 jobs is being supported by £436,000 from the Welsh Government.
Business Minister Edwina Hart said that the Welsh Government support helped secure the new shared service center for Wales and ensured the investment went ahead at Caerphilly.
"I am delighted that work is now underway on fitting out the new centre which will bring direct and indirect benefits to the local economy while creating a significant number of new jobs and career opportunities," Hart added.
The new shared service center will enable DS Smith to deliver better value and service for its clients.
