Subaru of America has unveiled its fourth-generation 2014 Forester crossover sports utility vehicle (SUV) ahead of its Los Angeles Auto Show debut.
Subaru's new Forester offers a choice of two engines including, a naturally aspirated 2.5-liter 4-cylinder BOXER and a 2.0-litre turbocharged 4-cylinder direction injection unit.
The 2.5-liter 4-cylinder BOXER will be mated to a 6-speed manual or Lineartronic CVT to deliver an output of 170 hp and a peak torque of 174 lb.-ft.
Further, the 2.0-litre turbocharged 4-cylinder direction injection unit will deliver an output of 250 hp and a peak torque of 258 lb.-ft.
The 2014 Subaru Forester Turbo will be available with the CVT, which features six- and eight-speed manual modes and Hill Descent Control.
