German carmaker Audi has unveiled its plug-in hybrid, the A3 e-tron ahead of its launch at the upcoming 2013 Geneva Motor Show to be held in Switzerland held during 07-17 March 2013.
The car's combined engines generate output of 150kW (204hp) and 350nm (258.15lbft) of torque, with acceleration of 0-100km/h (62.14mph) in 7.6S and a top speed of 222km/h (137.94mph).
Fuel consumption of the car is claimed by the company to be 1.5L for 100km (156.81mpg), with 35gms/km (56.33g/mile) of the CO2 emissions.
The car is equipped with 1.4 Turbo fuel stratified injection (TFSI) modified combustion engine that generates 110kW (150hp) of output.
Electric motor in the car produces an output of 75kW, which is linked to the TFSI with a clutch and a newly designed six-speed e-S tronic that powers the front wheels of vehicle.
In electric mode, the vehicle acquires a top speed of 130km/h (80.78mph) and offers a range of 50km (31.07miles).
The vehicle can be driven in three modes including the combustion engine mode, the electric drive and the hybrid mode.
