Fuso Global Reaches an Increase of 41.3% 41.3% During January to September 2012

Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus (MFTBC) has reported global sales of 135,994 units from January to September 2012 an increase of 41.3% compared to 96,247 units for the same period in 2011.

The company's sales in Japan increased 52.7% to 26,753 units for the first nine months of 2012, compared to 17,522 units for the same period last year

MFTBC said that the increase in its Japanese sales was supported by demand generated from the recovery efforts taking place in the northeastern region of the country.

Outside Japan, the company's sales increased 38.8% to 109,241 units through the year January to September 2012, compared to 78,725 units for the same period previous year.

The company's sales in the Middle East rose 147.6% to 17,381 units and in Africa sales incresaed 82.6% to 5,952 units.

In 2011, MFTBC, which is an integral part of the Daimler Trucks Division of Daimler, sold about 147,700 vehicles including light, medium and heavy-duty trucks and buses.

Daimler owns 89.29% stake in MFTBC while several Mitsubishi group companies own the remaining 10.71% stake.
