Lexus, a luxury vehicle division of Japanese automaker Toyota, has unveiled the 2013 RX 350 F SPORT crossover at the New York International auto show in US.
The All-Wheel Drive (AWD) crossover is powered by a 3.5 litre V6 engine mated to an eight-speed electronically controlled transmission with intelligence (ECT-i) and deliver an output of 270hp at 6,200 rpm.
Lexus said that the crossover's Dual Variable Valve Timing with intelligence (VVT-i) system will control both intake and exhaust camshafts separately and enhances engine performance at several speeds and loads.
The crossover features an active torque control AWD system, which uses an electronically controlled coupling prior to the rear differential to differ torque distribution based on driving dynamics and road conditions.
According to the carmaker, the new crossover, equipped with 19 inch split five-spoke wheels with 235/55R/19 tires, is expected to deliver of 19 mpg city, 25 mpg highway and combined mileage of 21 mpg.
The company said that the RX 350 F SPORT will go on sale this summer.
