Rieter Handed Over The K 45 Compact Spinning Machine to The Ege University in Izmir

At a formal ceremony, Rieter handed over the K 45 compact spinning machine to the EGE University in Izmir.

The K 45 compact spinning machine concerned is a very special machine: Rieter presented this machine in 2011 at the ITMA in Barcelona and in 2012 at the ITM in Istanbul.

Special is its execution: the short machine allows the spinning of all Com4 compact yarn variations such as Com4 compact-vario (fancy yarn), Com4 compact-core (core yarn), Com4 compact-twin (slub yarn) and Com4 compact-light (adapted hairiness). The special features of this machine will enable the EGE University in Izmir to demonstrate on one single machine all the applications to be found on the market.

The handing-over ceremony was attended by the Deputy Rector of the EGE University, Prof. Dr. Semih Ötles, numerous professors, students and representatives from industry as well as Rieter customers and the local press.

With this donation, Rieter is making a substantial contribution to a practise-relevant training of youngsters in the textile branch. Well-founded theoretical and practical tuition will optimally prepare students for a future in management positions in spinning plants.
