Character Options Is Restructuring Its Sales and Marketing Teams

Sales director Mike Rowe will retire in July 2015 and David Bramford has been promoted to sales director designate.

As part of its ambitious plans for 2014, Character Options is restructuring its sales and marketing teams.

Sales director Mike Rowe will retire in July 2015 and as a result, David Bramford has been promoted to sales director designate.

The move has also kick started a raft of job changes within the company, as detailed by managing director Joe Kissane.

"Mike and I have known each other for over 30 years," said Kissane.

“Mike joined Character six months after we started the business and has played an integral role in the success and growth of the business ever since. Mike will be sadly missed not just by the company but by all his friends and colleagues at Character, we wish him every happiness along with his wife Tracey during his retirement.

““Due to Mike’s retirement plans I am pleased to announce the promotion to sales director designate for David Bramford who will assume his new role from July this year.

"Alongside David’s promotion there are further key changes within the sales team. Colin Rossiter is to take on the higher role of national sales manager while Jerry Crouch has been promoted to senior national account manager.

"In addition Anthony Thorpe and Richard Dinham have been promoted to national account managers. They will all be part of a new sales structure that sees Character seeking to expand the team with additional national accounts and area sales managers.”

Mike Rowe added: “After over 20 years with the company, giving a long notice period for my retirement allows for the smoothest of transitions for both the sales team and our valued customers.

"I have enjoyed immensely my time at Character Options and look forward to spending the final year working alongside David in his new role. David has already given years of loyal support to the company and is a well known face within the industry. I am very happy that, when I eventually leave Character the sales function will be in a very strong position.”

Alongside these changes to the sales team, there will also be a raft of moves within the marketing department.

“Mark Hunt has been promoted to marketing manager and will be responsible for the day-to-day marketing of all brands and the management of brand and product managers," added Kissane.

"Longstanding member of the marketing team, Colin Fox will now assume the role of Marketing Services Manager, responsible for all trade fairs and exhibitions together with audio visual and creative solutions.

“I am confident that with the new changes in the sales and marketing teams, Character will continue to deliver our high level of service and fantastic products to the toy business for many more years to come.”

Marketing director, Jerry Healy, added: “We are delighted to announce the promotion of Mark Hunt to marketing manager. He is incredibly hard working and has proven his worth as an excellent marketer of our brands over the past years. He is fully deserving of his new role.

"Colin Fox has been part of my team for many years and his attention to details is superb. He will make the perfect Marketing Services Manager for Character Options.”
