Denmark-based Carlsberg has introduced a new fruit flavored strong beer Tuborg Booster in India.
The new beer is currently available in West Bengal and Maharashtra, and will be launched in five to six other markets by next month.
Carlsberg India marketing director Subodh Marwah said that the company has conducted many surveys, of which most of the consumers complained that all strong beers taste the same.
"Also, with the presence of international brands, the quality of strong beer being offered has really improved and as a result, more companies are taking to it," added Marwah.
Carlsberg has seven breweries in India and owns about 7% market share in the country, reports dnaindia.com.
The company's other products include Tuborg Green, Tuborg Strong, Carlsberg Green, Carlsberg Elephant and Palone 8.
