American Apparel Plans to Open a New Store in Lyon, France

American Apparel, the vertically integrated clothing manufacturer based in downtown Los Angeles, is announcing its plans to open a new store in Lyon, France. It will mark the company's 12th location in France.

Opening in November, the 300 sq. m. space will be in central Lyon, the Presqu'ile, an area featuring shops, restaurants, and the city's municipal and cultural landmarks. It will be located on Rue Edouard-Herriot, a street teeming with other shopping destinations and an upscale neighborhood.

"We are excited to be opening in Lyon. It's a cultural center of France and we're looking forward to serving its residents and our future customers with a dedicated store. This opening comes right in time with the holiday season," said Marsha Brady, a creative director for American Apparel.

The store will feature the company's classic fashionable basics as well as the many new styles the company has begun to produce, such as leather-based products, shoes, jackets, and sweaters. The store will also be stocked with American Apparel's newest line-up of garments for the fall season.

The Lyon location will be the company's 12th in France, joining its nine stores in Paris as well as locations in Aix-en-Provence and Toulouse. The company's stores can be found in malls and high streets. Last year also marked the opening of a pop-up shop in Paris at the MK2 Bibliotheque theatre.

"France is one of our biggest markets and it's always a thrill to provide a new location for our customers in the country. We're confident that our Lyon location will quickly become one of our most successful and trendiest stores in Europe," Brady said.
