NLMK Planned to Extend Its Plate Annual Production Capacity to 400,000 Tons This Year

It is reported that Russia's Dansteel, owned by Russian steel group NLMK, planned to extend its plate annual production capacity to 400,000 tons this year. However, the company will try to reach the plate annual production capacity of 80% to 500,000 tons in the beginning year. According to the company indicated that the new plant has designed an annual plate production capacity up to 700,000 tons but its production is limited by the 500,000 tons of the reheat furnace so far. In addition, the new mill will be able to produce a bulk production of plates in high strength 420 and 460 steel grades for offshore windmills and drilling platforms sectors.
