According to statistics released by Eurofer, the EU-27 countries exported 2.435 million tons of steel products in October, rising by 6.6% year on year and increasing by 2.01% from a month ago..
Among them, 1.377 million tons were steel flat products, down by 1% and 1.059 million tons were steel long products, jumping by 18.58%, both compared to that in a month ago.
In the first 10 months of this year, the EU’s steel product exports amounted to 11.852 million tons, falling by 32.81% year on year.
In the given period of time, the exports of steel flat products were at 9.522 million tons, decreasing by 35.31% and those of steel long products were at 2.331 million tons, falling by 18.58%, both compared to the figures in the same period of a year earlier.
