Industrial packaging provider Mauser Group has announced the acquisition of fiber drum solutions manufacturer California Fiber Drum (CFD) in Merced, California.
The acquisition provides a nationwide footprint of fiber drum facilities to Mauser, which are capable of supplying North American customers with various fiber drum solutions for their product needs.
Mauser's new facility is located in the heart of California and will continue to offer lock ring fiber drums with diameters ranging from 14" to 23" in a variety of materials, lids and liners.
The facility will also continue to provide full-fiber drum solutions in both 14" and 23" diameters to the market place as well as exterior weather resistant solutions and decoration alternatives.
Mauser North America global sales and marketing senior vice president Siegfried Weber said the company's customers prefer to have consistent fiber drum solutions available across their entire filling network.
"Fiber drums are an important component of our product offerings in North America and this recent acquisition completes our "coast-to-coast" footprint that customers value and expect," Weber added.
The new facility is said to complement the company's plastic drum facility in Rancho Cucamonga, California.
