Epson America has introduced SurePress L-4533AW, a new product in the digital label press lineup.
The L-4533AW delivers high-quality labels and packaging at a low total cost of ownership.
The Epson MicroPiezo inkjet technology delivers color matching and gradients for branded prime labels and packaging.
The easy-to-operate seven-color inkjet label press has been designed for reliability and high-quality performance.
The machine ensures longer automated printing times, provides email alerts and requires minimal maintenance.
The L-4533AW incorporates advanced automated printing features, including eight hours of unattended printing and minimal manual cleaning, resulting in higher productivity and greater efficiency.
All components, including ink, printhead and controller, are built by Epson. The machine can print on off-the-shelf flexo PS label materials, including uncoated, gloss and semi-gloss papers, film and vinyl, supported or unsupported media, from 3.15 inches up to 13 inches wide and as thin as .00314 inches.
The company has made several improvements to the L-4533 for variable data processing such as standard paper to thin films, metallic and laminated pouch materials.
The durable, water-based, resin-coated pigment inks provide superior adhesion and offer water and abrasion resistance on most substrates.
The digital label press, with variable drop size, includes a larger ink drop size, which is ideal for large solid color backgrounds on packaging.
Along with the L-4533AW, Epson also offers a pre-installation site survey, operational training and RIP workflow training and software. The L-4533AW will be available later this year.
Epson America group product manager, Label Products, Victor Gomez, said: “We wanted to build on the widespread success of the SurePress L-4033 series with a new product to meet the growing label and flexible packaging market demand for shorter runs and faster turnaround times.”
“The L-4533 keeps the water-based resin inks, the expanded gamut and high resolution of its predecessor, and it offers enhanced automation features for greater efficiency and unattended operation,” Gomez said.
