Canon Solutions America has added two new flatbed cutters to its Colex Sharpcut product line.
The Colex Sharpcut range of Digital Finishing System was introduced last year as an entry-level cutting solution for customers.
With the new products, the company aims to offer every customer with dynamic workflow possibilities.
Apart from the Sharpcut SX3216 (5' x 10'), Canon Solutions America has now launched the new Sharpcut SX1616 (5' x 5' table size. This is available with or without conveyor and the Sharpcut SX3232C (10' ½ x 10' ½ table size, with a conveyor for super wide applications.
The models are claimed to provide required automatic knife cutting, creasing and routing operations at a competitive price range. Each model has a fixed knife, oscillating knife with an optional 3HP router upgrade and additional tools which can be used for customizing to a consumer’s workflow. These features let the machines to be used in wide range of applications.
The machines can be used in 3-dimensional product displays by contour cutting, trimming, routing, and creasing for both rigid and flexible media.
Samples for corrugated, folding carton, foam and other packaging requirements can be produced easily with automatic cutting and creasing.
On the other hand, 2-dimensional signs, decals, banners, outdoor exhibits and intricate lettering can also be cut, trimmed or routed within minutes, claims Canon. It can also be used for cutting textiles, fabrics and other fibrous materials with its motorized fabric cutter.
