The South Korean automaker Kia motors has unveiled the modified version of the Sorento crossover utility vehicle (CUV), prior to its debut at 2012 Paris Motor Show in September.
For the 2013 model year, the weight of Kia Sorento has been reduced by 100 kg from its earlier weight and its maneuverability has also been improved.
According to the carmaker, the 2013 Sorento CUV will retain its earlier 2.2 liter CRDi engine and is expected to be equipped with a turbocharged petrol engine powering the Hyundai Santa Fe SUV.
The new model's upgraded features include re-engineered bodyshell, a new front and rear bumper while its enhanced powertrains are expected to deliver enhanced class fuel economy with lower emissions.
Kia said that the upgraded CUV also features LED positioning lights, a new tailgate with LED rear combination lamps and an option for expanded wheels to incorporate larger diameter (19-inch) alloys.
