Chemical-free cooling brand Dr Cool, launched its new collection of cooling accessories and clothing for men, women and children.
“The line is designed for a variety of sports and activities including dance, golf, running, tennis, training and yoga, among others,” a press release said.
Building upon the successful launch of the Dr Cool ice wraps, the new line utilises Coolcore's proprietary, award-winning temperature regulated cooling material.
“It is the industry's first chemical-free cooling material and are available online and at select specialty running and sporting goods retail locations,” it added.
Rather than a simple wicking technology that typically uses a topical chemical agent, Dr Cool accessories and apparel make moisture and sweat work for consumers.
Its moisture-and sweat-activated materials deliver wicking, moisture circulation and regulated evaporation, reducing the fabric's surface temperature up to 30 per cent and providing lasting comfort.
“Dr Cool is the next generation of cooling products, enabling wearers to focus on enjoying their activities, rather than the heat,” said Nicholas Skally, vice president of marketing and branding.
“With the continued rise of 'athleisure,' people are looking for clothing with performance features which transitions seamlessly from workout to being out and about,” Skally also added.
Accessories for men and women include active caps, chillbands, chillsleeves, multi chills and wristbands.
Apparel for men includes the crew long sleeve, crew short sleeve and polo short sleeve. Women's apparel includes the crew long sleeve, polo short sleeve, tank top and v-neck short sleeve.
“All apparels have strategically placed mesh for cooling and is available in a variety of colours, patterns and sizes,” the company informed.
According to Dr Cool, Coolcore's cooling material technology has undergone more than four years of lab and field testing and is the first US company to receive the “Innovative Technology” award from Hohenstein Institute.
Based in Portsmouth, Tempnology is a material innovation company, with the front-facing brands of Coolcore and Dr Cool, built on the foundation of chemical-free cooling products.
The brand initially launched in November of 2013 with the first and only flexible fabric wrap that combines ice and compression and has expanded into chemical-free cooling accessories and apparel.
