Derek Rose Design Ethos Is Led by a Strong Belief in Consumer-Centric Thinking

With this transformation comes the launch of a complete underwear collection for smart men.

The Derek Rose design ethos is led by a strong belief in consumer-centric thinking where the end-user experience is at the core of the design and development process. The underwear development has been driven by, and is the embodiment of, these beliefs.

The underwear collection encompasses a range of styles from trunks to tees presented in both core solid colours and contemporary prints derived from traditional designs. Crafted from double-mercerised pure two-fold 100s cotton and fine gauge Pima cotton stretch, production utilises the technique of manual welting to provide near-invisible supersoft hems.

The design emphasis on consumer benefits is further seen in an innovative patent pending self-seeking magnetic closure, developed to bring a new found functionality to men’s underwear.

The collection launches for Autumn Winter 2013 exclusively online with Mr Porter, and will also be stocked in luxury department stores including Selfridges, Harrods, Harvey Nichols, Liberty and Fenwicks in the UK and Saks Fifth Avenue and Bloomingdales in the USA.

Sacha Rose, Managing Director of Derek Rose said: “We are thrilled to be launching our men’s underwear collection for Winter 2013. This has taken two focused years of design and development work. The products are superb and they fit perfectly with our core belief of ‘consumer centric design’. Nothing illustrates this better than our Patent Pending boxer closure – the self-closing functionality just makes things a little bit easier.”
