Scotland-based BrewDog brewery has launched a crowd funding scheme, called Equity for Punks, through which it will sell shares directly to beer drinkers to raise £4m for the expansion of its brewery.
As part of the scheme, the brewery has placed 42,000 shares for sale, priced at £95 for each share.
The brewery has raised £2.2m through the FSA-accredited Equity for Punks scheme in 2011.
The scheme will also allow shareholders to avail lifetime discount at BrewDog's portfolio of craft beer bars, and at BrewDog.com.
The brewery has opened 12 bars since 2010, which also includes its first international location in Stockholm, Sweden. These openings have been mostly funded by Equity for Punks investment.
The brewery's core range of beers include Dead Pony Club, Punk IPA, Libertine Black Ale, and Dogma.
Brewdog also produces limited series of beers under Abstrakt beer brand.
