Global spirits company Beam has transferred its IT service management platform from an on-premise deployment into the cloud platform in order to support finance and human resource departments.
The HEAT Cloud Platform from IT firm FrontRange comprises integrated workflow-based application that offers a single and consolidated view of data relevant to Beam's different locations, processes and users.
The American spirits major said it has seen a rapid time-to-benefit with HEAT Cloud.
Beam support services IT manager Julie Commons said HEAT Cloud is an essential enabler for the company.
"HEAT is critical in our day-to-day operations and has increased the agility of our business to achieve shared services and greater efficiency," Commons added.
Beam has been using FrontRange's on-premise HEAT Help Desk since 2003 for over 12 departments.
Beam and its 3,400 associates worldwide generated 2012 sales of $2.5bn, excluding excise taxes, volume of 38 million nine-liter equivalent cases.
Jim Beam Bourbon, Maker's Mark Bourbon, Pinnacle Vodka, Canadian Club Whisky, Courvoisier Cognac, Teacher's Scotch Whisky, Skinnygirl Cocktails, Cruzan Rum, Hornitos Tequila, Knob Creek Bourbon, Laphroaig Scotch Whisky, Kilbeggan Irish Whiskey, Larios Gin, Whisky DYC and DeKuyper Cordials are some of the brands of the company.
