Fujitsu General Has Launched Its Ever Popular Free Money Promotion,Backed Once Again

The last day of February is here, bringing with it the last day of summer, and as Australians prepare to march into March, they are also preparing for colder weather. Off the back of this autumnal shift, Fujitsu General has launched its ever popular Free Money promotion, backed once again by brand ambassador Mark Taylor.

Now in its eighth year, the Fujitsu Free Money promotion offers consumers a pre-paid Visa card valued at up to $400 with the purchase of selected Fujitsu General inverter reverse cycle air conditioners. The promotion will begin on 1 March 2014 and will be supported by point of sale and a multi-million dollar marketing campaign feature Taylor.

The Free Money campaign is just one of a number of initiatives that Fujitsu is using to increase brand awareness and educate consumers on the benefits of switching to an efficient reverse cycle air conditioner for the cooler months, as well as the peak summer season.

According to Fujitsu General national marketing manager Marc Cheah, the company has a “long term commitment to educating consumers and retailers about the cost and energy efficiencies of inverter air conditioning through ongoing marketing initiatives”. This consumer awareness has been built in part by the Fujitsu Comfort Kiosk program, which has been piloted in selected stores across Australia, as well as the brand’s ties with a number of sporting codes.

The retail kiosks are designed to help educate and help consumers find the best air conditioning solution for their needs. The kiosks can act as a sales assistant helping floor staff walk consumers through things to consider for their air conditioning requirements. Users can select specific topics and scroll through information including how air conditioning systems work and the benefits of implementing the right system for the needs of specific homes.

As well as being a silent salesperson, the Fujitsu retail kiosks can double as a training tool for floor staff that may require a refresher on product features.

Fujitsu General also recently entered a partnership with two of the most popular sporting teams in Australia — the Essendon Football Club and the South Sydney Rabbitohs — as part of the company’s strategy to help keep Fujitsu General at top of mind to Australian consumers.

Both the AFL and NRL have strong appeal with a broad market and a balanced demographic aligned with Fujitsu General’s audience. Entering a sponsorship with both clubs presents great opportunity for Fujitsu General to extend its footprint in the Victorian and New South Wales markets.

The Fujitsu Free Money campaign will run through until 31 July 2014, with pre-paid Visa cards valued at $150, $200 and $400 on offer. Fujitsu Inverter Split Systems with a cooling capacity at or below 3.5-kilowatts will be eligible for a $150 card, Split Systems above 3.5-kilowatts will be eligible for a $200 card, and Fujitsu Inverter Multi Split Systems and Inverter Ducted Air Conditioning Systems will be eligible for a $400 card.
