US-based General Electric has unveiled the new ecomagination approved WattStation and WattStation Connect electric vehicle (EV) charging solution in US.
Designed by industrial designer Yves Behar, the WattStation is a charging station for electric vehicles (EV) that can be installed in a various locations including hotels, hospitals and parking lots among others.
GE's new EV charging platform will facilitate WattStation owners to manage charging stations remotely, allowing them to manage and set customer pricing for EV charging.
The new solution will also enable access control at their facilities, produce reports and engage with customers in new ways.
GE has developed the WattStation's associated app, WattStation Connect, which will allow users to search for close WattStation and manage the powerup process through their mobile phones which they can connect to via 3G, WiFi or Ethernet.
The app will also enable the EV users to pay for charging their vehicle and check the status of the charge while charging their vehicle.
