JFE Shoji Trade, a subsidiary of Japan’s second largest steelmaker JFE Steel planned to set up its second coil center in Vietnam, aiming on electronics and white goods makers in Northern Vietnam.
The company expected to start the new coil center named JFE Shoji Steel Hai Phong from July, 2014 and the initial capacity in one large slitter and one small leveller will be at around 4,000 tons per month.
Meanwhile, the coil center will produce electrical sheet, cold rolled and coated, mostly supplied by JFE Steel from Japan and some could be of Vietnamese or Chinese origin in accordance with customers’ requests.
