Nissan Has Started Production of New Sentra Car at Its Aguascalientes Plant, Mexico

Japanese carmaker Nissan has started production of new Sentra car at its Aguascalientes 1 manufacturing plant in Mexico.

The company has invested $150m in order to prepare the Mexico's manufacturing plant to build the new Sentra, which will represent about half of the plant's entire production.

According to the company, Aguascalientes 1 manufacturing plant will manufacture nine versions of the Sentra for the US, Canada and other export markets along with Mexico.

In addition to the Mexico's manufacturing plant, the 2013 Sentra will also be produced at Nissan's Canton, Mississippi facility in US.

Nissan Mexicana said it will announce the launch date and pricing of the 2013 Nissan Sentra this fall.

Nissan Americas vice-chairman Bill Krueger said, "The Aguascalientes manufacturing team earned the responsibility of producing the next-generation Sentra through a long-standing record of productivity, quality and efficiency."
