P.A.M.Transportation Services reported a fourth-quarter net income compared with a loss the prior year.
The truckload carrier reported a profit of$1.3 million,or 15 cents per share,compared with a loss of$311,010,or 4 cents a share,in the 2012 quarter,the company said in a Feb.6 statement.
Revenue grew to$96.5 million from$96 million last year,P.A.M.reported.
"While the fourth-quarter results are satisfying,momentum slowed during December due to multiple unfavorable weather-related events and a slow final week of the year.We certainly had challenges this December,but October and November performance was strong enough to allow us to finish the quarter with a$2.1 million operating profit,"P.A.M.President Daniel Cushman said in the statement.
P.A.M.is ranked No.65 on the Transport Topics 100 listing of U.S.and Canadian for-hire carriers.
