Terry Mennen will serve as president of Fontaine Coupling Solutions.
TRUSSVILLE, AL — Fontaine Fifth Wheel Group has announced the creation of new division Fontaine Coupling Solutions, a company solely for the yard truck market.
President Terry Mennen, who formerly operated as vice president for Fontaine Fifth Wheel since 2007, will head the startup company. Joining him in upper management are Product Manager Steven Alldredge and Director of Sales Robbie Laney.
Laney began leading a team in studying the yard truck market over two years ago, which led to the development of many initial designs. After narrowing it down to one core design, the team refined the new product after feedback from over 100 yard truck customers in warehousing, industrial and intermodal transport.
"Our new product is being designed from the ground up specifically for the terminal tractor market," Mennen says. "That’s never been done before.”
Fontaine plans on unveiling their newest company’s first big product later in the year.
