New Zealand dairy company Fonterra’s brand Anchor has announced the launch of a new Cheddar cheese range into its portfolio in new packaging that is sealed using Aplix seal technology.
Aplix's 'pinch' close seal does away with the need to line up the packaging channels to reclose the pack and makes it easy to close while retaining the freshness of the product.
The packaging also includes Anchor branding with a different colored swish at the pack's bottom to indicate consumers of the two variants available on shelf, using red for Anchor Mature Cheddar and purple for Anchor Extra Mature Cheddar.
Aplix UK managing director Caine Folkes-Miller said its Easy-Lock requires no alignment and punches through any contamination in the closure.
"Uniquely for a reclose system, Easy-Lock has sensory benefits with many associating it with the same tactile satisfaction as bubble wrap. In a nut shell; it is not fiddly and consumers actually enjoy using it, making it the perfect solution for the new Anchor Cheddar range," Folkes-Miller said.
