According to the data released by metal trading enterprise Ukrainian Mining and Metallurgical Company (UGMK), in April this year Ukraine's exports of steel products increased by 7.9 percent month on month to 2.183 million mt. In January-April, Ukraine exported 8.063 million mt of steel products, up 7.1 percent year on year.
In April this year, Ukraine registered a 62.4 percent increase month on month in its steel product imports to 182,500 mt. In the January-April period, Ukrainian imports of steel products decreased by 10.7 percent year on year to 487,500 mt.
