Solar-grade polycrystalline silicon wafer maker Green Energy Technology (GET) has reported consolidated revenues of NT$1.128 billion (US$37.6 million) for August, the highest monthly level since October 2011 with on-month growth of 1.23% and on-year growth of 68.18%.
GET's January-August consolidated revenues of NT$8.009 billion rose by 9.10% on year, the company indicated.
According to Chinese-language newspaper Economic Daily News (EDN), energy conversion rates for GET-produced polycrystalline silicon wafers have reached 17.6-17.8%, and Taiwan-based clients account for 60-70% of the company's consolidated revenues, China-based ones for 20%, Japan- and South Korea-based ones for 10%.
GET plans to expand its annual ingot growing capacity from 1.8GWp currently to 2GWp by the end of the third quarter and ingot slicing from 1.5GWp to 2GWp in the fourth quarter, EDN indicated.
