Brazilian food company BRF Brasil Foods has reported that its net revenues increased by 14.3% to BRL7.2bn ($3.4bn) for the third quarter of 2012, compared to BRL6.2bn ($2.9bn) for the same period in 2011.
The company posted net earnings for the quarter totaled BRL91m ($43.5m), compared to BRL365m ($174.8m) in 2011.
There was a 4.3% increase sales volume to 1.6 million tons during the quarter and the price increase adjustments partially reduced the burden from the costs of the main raw materials on the operating margins for the period, the company noted.
During the quarter, the company unveiled 115 new products including 18 in Food Service, 51 in domestic market, 31 in export market and 15 in dairy products segment.
