Rasna, a soft drink concentrate brand owned by India-based Pioma Industries, has announced plans to invest INR600m ($10.18m) to set up its own juice bottling plant.
Rasna Beverages Division CEO and president Arshad Siddiqui said the new juice bottling unit will come up in 2014, PTI reported.
"We are in the process of identifying suitable land for the facility in northern region," Siddiqui added.
Rasna, which forayed into the ready-to-drink beverage segment in 2013, is sourcing juices from three of its facilities in India.
The facilities, located at Pune, Faridabad and Gujarat, have a combined capacity of 1.80l per minute.
