Serotta will be providing GPM10, a London-based operator of bike touring and training camps, with a rental fleet of top-of-the-line Serotta MeiVici bicycles, the companies announced.
GPM10’s tour guides already ride Serottas, said Mark Neep, GPM10 director.
“We’ve been associated with the brand for such a long time, we’re excited to offer clients the opportunity to ride Serottas,” Neep said. “All of our clients have their own really good high-end bikes, but this will be a way for them to experience a truly awesome bike. We’ve got so much confidence in Serotta. It will enhance the experience of a trip, and all clients will have to bring is their pedals and cycling gear.”
Serotta CEO Bill Watkins said that GPM10’s challenging tours in the French Alps and Mallorca test the mettle of both cyclists and bikes.
“Riding legendary routes through the Alps is where precision instruments like Serotta bicycles excel,” Watkins said. “The stresses of these environments – long climbs and twisting, high-speed descents – allow the under-the-hood characteristics of a meticulously designed and engineered bicycle to really shine.”
GPM10’s fleet of 10 MeiVicis will be available as high-performance rentals or for use as spares for clients whose bikes need to be replaced during a tour.
Serotta will provide MeiVicis in eight sizes. The bikes will be equipped with internal electronic wiring for the Campagnolo Super Record EPS electronic shifting system and will feature Campagnolo Shamal Ultra wheelsets. In addition, the MeiVicis will have Deda trim parts; Zero seatposts, stems, handlebars and tape; Fizik saddles; and Continental GP4000 tires and tubes.
